Chiquita Spectrum - Nov. 7

I wanted to revisit the code I first used to fit the chiquita data, fitchiquita.C. This uses the largest new set of Chiquita data, and the most recent simulations, both with a cut on theta at 45 degrees.

Using the range LogE=16-19, I get gamma = 3.75. (The parameter being fit to is actually gamma-1, which is what shows up in the statistics box.)

Cutting off the range at LogE=18 gives similar results:

Narrowing the range to LogE=17 to LogE=18, where we have the best data, the results are way off:

Part of the difference comes from the range over which we consider showers that move into a given bin via error in the reconstrution. Considering only data between LogE=17 and LogE=18, but using the entire range of A(E) and R(E,E0) in the fit yields:
