We would like to announce "Summer CHICOS Activities 2003," the second in a series of activities that we offer for the summer months of July and August each year.
We would like to invite you to work at Caltech for five days this summer commissioning future CHICOS array sites. You will work with detector hardware, electronics, software and computers to transform these components into data taking CHICOS stations. This is a chance to get real lab experience and share with your students the excitement of contributing to the CHICOS project in a hands-on way (plus we could use your help!).
We can accommodate one teacher with two of their students at a time in the lab. We will schedule each team for a five day period (Monday - Friday) during the summer. We will provide training for the labwork. While at Caltech we ask that you take full responsibility for your students, by making sure they arrive each day, and overseeing their work and safety for the week you are here. We will pay $15/hour per teacher and $7/hour per student. Financial compensation is not available for transportation or meals.
At the completion of your team's week of work, we will provide you with a certificate of your achievement in Caltech's Summer CHICOS Activities 2003.
We would like to announce "Summer CHICOS Activities 2002," the first in a series of activities that we plan to offer for the summer months of July and August each year.
