Directions
To get to Caltech take the Hill exit off the 210 Freeway in Pasadena and travel south on Hill Ave. The Caltech campus is on the west side of Hill, between Del Mar Blvd. and California Blvd. The Kellogg Lab is near the southern edge of campus (see map below).
Or, take the 110 freeway north to Pasadena. The freeway ends and becomes Arroyo Parkway. Continue north on Arroyo Parkway until California. Turn right on California, continue east past Wilson Ave. The Caltech campus will then be on your left (see map below).
A map of Caltech can be found here. Kellogg lab is circled on the map (blue).
Enter at the door on the East end of the building. Within Kellogg...
...CHICOS Project Coordinator Theresa Lynn's office is just past the stairwell, office number 1.
...the Kellogg library is a small conference room / library just down the hall. To get there, go past Theresa's office, take the first right down a very small hallway, and the library will be on your right almost immediately.
Parking
Visitor parking passes are available for sale at the security office in the Holliston Ave. parking structure (circled in red), or at the pay machine next to the structure south of California Blvd. (purple). Caltech parking permits are required for on-campus weekday parking. They are rather expensive, at $5/day or $15/week. But keep going to the options suggested below!
Parking can often be found on the street. The information below is current as of June 15, 2007, but always be sure to read and follow posted signs as street parking regulations do change.
Spots may be available on California Blvd. itself, particularly on weekends and holidays, or late in the afternoon.
9am-4pm parking is often available on Del Mar Blvd. at the north edge of campus. These areas are mostly no parking from 7am-9am and 4pm-6pm.
Pasadena City College has parking across the corner from the northeast edge of Caltech's campus, at Del Mar Blvd. and Hill Ave. The PCC lot and structure are $2/day.
