CHICOS Summer Program 2007
Detailed Information for Participants
Lunch will be provided on Wednesday for all
participants. On other days, participants should pack a lunch or plan
to purchase one on or near campus.
On all days, participants should bring or purchase any snacks/drinks
they will want during the morning or afternoon.
Some options for lunch and/or snacks include:
- Vending
machines are located in a nearby building.
- The Red Door
Cafe and Caltech
convenience store are just a few buildings
away on campus.
- Chandler
Dining Hall offers a variety of meals (Mongolian BBQ, salad bar,
pizza, grill options, and more). Prices are reasonable but probably a
bit higher than usual school cafeteria rates, depending on what options
you choose.
The food is much better than a standard school cafeteria, more like a
decent
quick-lunch restaurant.
- Lake Avenue (west of campus) has many options, including deli,
bagels, Italian, Middle Eastern, and sandwiches. Most Lake Ave.
restaurants
are walking distance (0.5 miles) from Kellogg Lab.
- Colorado Blvd. (north of campus) has a Zankou Chicken and a
McDonalds. Both of these are approximately one mile from Kellogg.
- If you are driving to lunch, there are many more great options
close by
in Pasadena.
